Unsticking A Manual Governor Fj62 (ane Viewer)

Anyone have any advice on how to unstick a governor? Supposedly mine is stuck. It's a brand new transmission, not a rebuild, and the store claims it's been sitting for several years and the governor is stuck. It doesn't downward shift and sometimes doesn't up shift. I've been driving it manually for a few days simply no luck.

I read something on here almost getting the truck up to around 55/lx mph and slamming it in to P really quickly (2 or 3 sec) then back in to D but this actually freaks me out. Anybody I've asked nearly it says I'll be in the bushes or picking up pieces of my tranny from the route.

Has anyone e'er tried this method?

Give thanks a lot!

I am led to believe that jamming any auto into park while driving will cause major damage. I would as well suspect that you would be picking up pieces outta the road.

I e'er thought that the downshifting was controlled by a cable, I believe it attaches to the Throddle Trunk. This could be out of adjustment.... I hate auto trannys so I never learned anything nigh how they work.

There is someone out there who will chime in and help you lot out, I am intrested to know the remedy of this problem.

proficient luck to ya,

Search for info on the "Rodney Flush" so "Rodney Political party Trick" which is what you lot initially depict about throwing it in to P for a few seconds. Since information technology's new and presumably under warranty and has fresh fluid it would seem to me you'd exist perfectly safe striking P at 60mph. If it blows you're covered and if it doesn't you lot'll take answered your question.

FWIW, I had a sticky A440F besides and when it wouldn't shift out of 2d one solar day I threw it into P at almost 30 mph out of frustration. Information technology corrected the problem, any it was, and has been fine ever since.

So if I go the assurance to endeavor the "political party trick" do I release the thumb button when it's in park for the few seconds or practise i keep information technology pressed in an pull it out quickly? I'thou thinking I might endeavour it.....

Tin can you set a video camera under your rig so nosotros can see the smash?

Shouldn't the shop fix it? They sold information technology to you. And if they don't, take some time to sit outside their store to help customers until they modify their listen.

This method works very well and volition cause no problems if yous practice it just as y'all described. I've washed information technology several times on the A440F and if your governor is truly stuck then this performance will unstick information technology. Merely be sure to exist focused on what you lot are doing. Rodney claims the procedure works on every motorcar transmission he is aware of except for Coil Royce trannies.

Well I did it.

Three times on separate occasions/drives this morning. It's quit a rush actually, I went to do it a few times and chickened out. Each time checking my mirrors to make sure my surrounding were in the best situation in example I were to flip over or something. You lot know, no immediate cars or small-scale children etc.

All of a sudden, on a surface street at about 50mph I just did it and it felt pretty crazy!!!! Just made a clicking sound like political party favor or something simply at the next low-cal to my disappointment it was still stuck in 4th. FARTS!!!!!

I tried it a few more times as I said on the freeway (the 101 in LA) at 55, threescore and seventy and still zilch.

I think I'll try driving it off a cliff and meet if that fixes it!

I'm pretty pissed/frustrated with it.....

Any ideas/suggestions?

At least y'all tired, sad it didn't assistance.

IMHO y'all now have 2 choices:

i. Bring it back to the shop that installed it

2. Give it to me instead of driving information technology over a cliff.

Ah that'southward absurd, thank you a lot for the help!

Your cruiser looks great human being! I was wondering if yous could put the threescore headlights and grill on a 62. I think information technology looks much ameliorate as well. Was that a tough job?

If I ever go my transmission sorted I'm going to put an EMU on it too.
